Not far from Odense, on Denmark’s central island of Fyn, lies OL Hestecenter, a training and commercial stable that has been training and selling high-quality horses to Danish and international customers for the past ten years. OL Hestecenter is owned and run by Ove Bisgaard and his wife Lene Ejby, who both specialize in dressage. Even so, their stable is also home to a number of jumpers. Ove Bisgaard is a certified trainer and has trained riders and horses professionally for many years, while Lene Ejby is a top-level, active sports rider. She has trained many horses to Grand Prix level, and three times she has achieved commendable rankings in the national Danish dressage championships. Among the assistants at OL Hestecenter are three trainer apprentices, who are completing part of their education under the guidance and tutelage of the center’s experienced owners. OL Hestecenter is located in beautiful surroundings, and the stables accommodate up to 60 horses in spacious, well-lit stalls. The welfare of the horses has top priority, and they often roam the center’s many pastures.
